Osprey/Wildlife Cruises

Programme of Dawn Cruises & Evening Events

In association with the Leicestershire & Rutland Wildlife Trust & The Rutland Osprey Project Team, a series of Cruises has been arranged on selected Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the season from May to August

Evening Events:

Each evening event will begin with refreshments and an introductory presentation at the Anglian Water Birdwatching Centre, Egleton (LE15 8BT). You are then asked to drive to Whitwell, (LE15 8BL), to board the Rutland Belle. All cruises last 1½ hr.

Saturday evening events: meet at 3:45 pm; Rutland Belle sailing at 5:15 pm.
Wednesday evening events: meet at 4.30 pm, Rutland Belle sailing at 6:00 pm.

Evening Cruises £18 per person (£12 for under 16s)

May: Sat 19th May, Sat 26th May
June: Wed 6th June, Sat 16th June, Wed 20th June, Sat 30th June.
July: Wed 11th July, Sat 14th July, Wed 18th July, Wed 25th July, Sat 28th July.
August: Sat 8th August, Sat 11th August, Sat 25th August

Dawn Cruises £21 per person (£15 for under 16s)

June: Sun 3rd June
July: Wed 7th July, Sat 21st July
August: Sat 4th August

Dawn Cruises:

In addition to the evening events, there will be four dawn cruises. These will depart from Whitwell Harbour at 6.00 am and last for a 1½ hr, before returning to Whitwell for a well-earned breakfast at 7:30 am.

Birdfair Cruises

A series of cruises will be offered during the Birdfair weekend of 17th/18th August 2012. When available, details will be confirmed on the Rutland Water Nature Reserve and the Birdfair websites.
